Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with compassion and clinical skill as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Administer medications, document care, and monitor patient responses accurately
• Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary teams to support individualized care plans
• Perform assessments, assist with activities of daily living, and report changes promptly
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control and facility policies
• Support patient and family education with clarity and empathy

Qualifications

• Current LPN license (practical nurse) — must be eligible to practice in Alabama
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required or obtained upon hire
• Experience in long-term care or similar clinical settings preferred
• Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent LPN training

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental nursing assessment and basic clinical procedures
• Medication administration and accurate charting
• Knowledge of infection control practices and safety standards
• Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Good teamwork, time management, and patient advocacy skills
