Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients on your unit
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to policy
• Monitor, assess and document patient conditions and responses to care
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and physicians to coordinate excellent care
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medication and aftercare
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges to ensure smooth transitions

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in the state of practice (Alabama) or ability to obtain prior to start
• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and standing for extended periods
• Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN (Practical Nursing) program

Knowledge & Skills

• Reliable medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Patient assessment, vital signs monitoring and basic wound care
• Infection control and standard precautions
• Comfort with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and communicate clearly with the care team
