Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging studies using GE and Siemens scanners to support accurate diagnoses
• Prepare patients for procedures with compassion, explain steps clearly, and ensure safety and comfort
• Start IVs when required and manage contrast administration according to protocols
• Operate PACS and document studies in Epic and Fuji Synapse for seamless clinical workflow
• Collaborate directly with radiologists and the multidisciplinary team to deliver timely results
• Maintain radiation safety practices, infection control, and departmental standards
• Float to outpatient areas as needed and adapt to varying case types and volumes (average ~25 scans/day)
• Participate in department orientation and support throughput during peak times and trauma activations

Qualifications

• Certified CT Technologist — ARRT (CT) required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of CT imaging experience
• Comfortable with IV starts and contrast-enhanced studies
• Experience with GE and Siemens CT systems preferred
• Familiarity with Epic and Fuji Synapse PACS preferred
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
• Must be able to submit a valid driver's license and be available in-state for orientation week
• Agency to provide traveler radiology tech badge as required by facility

Education

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist training program (Associate or equivalent preferred)
• ARRT (CT) certification required; BLS required
• BSN not required for this role

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of CT protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
• Proficiency with GE and Siemens CT equipment and system workflows
• Experience using Epic and Fuji Synapse PACS for image retrieval and charting
• Strong patient care skills, including IV insertion and contrast administration
• Ability to prioritize in a busy acute care setting and handle trauma cases
• Detail-oriented documentation and excellent communication with radiologists and staff
• Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to float to outpatient when needed
