Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage patients rapidly and safely, making critical initial decisions that guide care
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and prioritize care in a fast-paced ER
• Administer medications accurately and pass required medication competency testing
• Communicate patient status and collaborate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Document care clearly and promptly in the Electronic Medical Record
• Provide compassionate patient advocacy and maintain professional interactions with patients, families, and agencies
• Cross-train and float to other nursing units (Med-Surg) as needed to support the team

Qualifications

• Current, active California RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (current)
• Minimum: 2+ years recent ER experience preferred
• Operating knowledge of Electronic Medical Records preferred
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written
• Must be able to pass the nursing medication test
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with patients, staff, and the public
• Willingness to float to Med-Surg when needed
