Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations and functional assessments to identify patient strengths and goals
• Develop individualized treatment plans that focus on independence in daily living and meaningful outcomes
• Implement therapeutic interventions using evidence-based OT techniques and adaptive equipment
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and plan safe discharges
• Document progress clearly and timely in the medical record to ensure continuity of care
• Educate patients and families on strategies, home programs, and community resources to support recovery
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality-improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Active California Occupational Therapy license (required)
• NBCOT certification preferred or in progress
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willing to obtain
• Clinical experience in adult or pediatric rehab settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and families
• Ability to work Monday through Friday and commit to the full 13-week assignment

Education

• Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (or entry-level OTD) from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL/IADL training and adaptive equipment recommendations
• Experience with functional assessments and developing measurable goals
• Comfortable documenting in electronic medical records and using standard outcome measures
• Good clinical reasoning, time management, and prioritization skills
• Collaborative approach to working within interdisciplinary teams
