Shift Type: Nights — 3 × 12-hour night shifts per week plus 2 on-call night shifts; holidays and additional on-call coverage required. Coverage includes Kremmling with coverage responsibilities in Granby and Fraser, CO.
Hours per Week: 24
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement and coordinate patient care across the emergency department from admission to discharge
- Perform timely and accurate patient assessments and prioritize interventions in high-acuity situations
- Utilize accepted standards and protocols (ACLS, PALS or equivalent, TNCC, ATLS, CEN) to guide emergency interventions
- Implement clinical pathways and document patient outcomes to support best-practice care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for smooth admissions, transfers and discharges
- Provide trauma-informed nursing care consistent with a Trauma Level IV facility
- Cover on-call and holiday shifts professionally and reliably to ensure continuous patient coverage
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Colorado (or compact RN license where applicable)
- Current ACLS and PALS (or equivalent) certifications required
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) required or equivalent trauma experience
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred
- Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience; Critical Access Hospital (CAH) experience preferred
- Comfortable with night-shift practice and on-call responsibilities, including holiday coverage
- Strong assessment, triage and critical thinking skills; ability to act decisively in emergent situations
Knowledge & Skills
- Emergency Nursing and ED workflows
- Patient Assessment and triage in high-acuity settings
- Care Coordination across admissions, transfers and discharges
- Clinical Pathways implementation and documentation
- Trauma Nursing practices appropriate to a Level IV trauma center
- Ability to work independently in a rural/critical access environment
- Effective communication with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams
