Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Support safe and dignified transfers, bathing, dressing and toileting
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to licensed nursing staff
• Document care activities accurately and timely in patient records
• Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and follow infection control procedures
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure individualized, person-centered care
• Respond promptly to patient needs and support comfort and safety throughout the shift

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Active authorization to practice in New Mexico (state requirements met)
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM - 6:30 AM)
• Strong communication skills and a caring bedside manner
• Previous long-term care or rehab experience preferred but not required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care and assistance with ADLs
• Ability to observe, document, and escalate changes in patient status
• Familiarity with infection control and basic safety protocols
• Good time management and teamwork in a fast-paced care setting
• Compassionate patient interaction and strong interpersonal skills
