Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the Behavioral Health Unit
• Conduct thorough behavioral health assessments and ongoing patient monitoring
• Implement individualized care plans and deliver safe medication administration
• Use de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques to maintain a therapeutic environment
• Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with required health screenings and competencies
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate treatment and discharge planning
• Complete required Prime competency exams, skills checklists, and specialty assessments

Qualifications

• Active nursing license (verification required prior to start)
• BLS required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as applicable
• Experience or comfort working in a Behavioral Health Unit
• Proof of required vaccinations or documented declination (MMR, Varicella, COVID-19, Influenza, Hepatitis B, Tdap)
• Successful completion of a minimum 10-panel drug screening and other health clearances
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and adapt to Per Diem scheduling needs

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong behavioral health assessment and crisis intervention skills
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with infection control and immunization requirements
• Good clinical judgment and patient advocacy
• Effective communication and teamwork within interdisciplinary teams
• Comfort with competency-based testing and skills validation processes
