Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for behavioral health and psychiatric patients using the nursing process
- Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with state law, hospital policy, and standards of care
- Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress clearly and accurately to support continuity of care
- Participate in unit performance improvement and shared governance efforts to enhance patient outcomes
- Use critical thinking to identify safety concerns and escalate appropriately through the chain of command
- Offer clinical guidance and support across units when patients require longitudinal coordination of care
- Educate patients and families to promote recovery, safety, and active participation in the plan of care
Qualifications
- Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Current CPR certification required
- Demonstrated experience in behavioral health or psychiatric nursing preferred
- Proven medication administration and clinical documentation skills
- Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and participating in an every-other-weekend rotation
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Familiarity with care planning, nursing process, and performance improvement practices
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)
- Active RN licensure in Wisconsin

- Behavioral health assessment and therapeutic communication
- Medication administration best practices and safety
- Clinical documentation and care planning
- Interdisciplinary teamwork and escalation/chain of command
- Patient and family education techniques
- Critical thinking in high-acuity behavioral health situations
