Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in the ambulatory OR setting, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Scrub and circulate in a variety of cases including General, GYN, Plastics, Orthopedics, Urology and ENT
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to maintain smooth, efficient case flow
• Document accurately in Epic to maintain clear, compliant patient records
• Anticipate instrument and supply needs; set up and manage electrosurgical units and specialty instrumentation
• Mentor and support colleagues when needed and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment

Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse license (required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Minimum 2 years recent perioperative experience with demonstrated scrub and circulating skills (hard stop)
• BLS (AHA) required; CNOR preferred
• Epic/charting experience required
• Comfortable across multiple specialties including GYN, plastics, orthopedics, urology, ENT and pediatrics
• Open to first-time travel nurses who meet the clinical experience requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Perioperative nursing best practices for ambulatory surgery
• Strong scrubbing and circulating technique across diverse surgical cases
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health record for perioperative documentation
• Proficiency with common OR equipment and instruments, including electrosurgical units
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and communicate clearly in fast-paced surgical settings
• Comfort working with all age groups from pediatrics to geriatrics
