Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients and deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in an outpatient setting
• Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient responses
• Document clinical findings, interventions, and patient education accurately in the electronic health record
• Coordinate care with providers, specialists, and support staff to ensure smooth patient journeys
• Provide clear patient education and discharge instructions so patients feel confident managing their care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives that improve patient outcomes and clinic efficiency
• Act as a patient advocate, ensuring dignity, privacy, and culturally sensitive care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or compact state eligibility if applicable
• Current BLS certification; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS welcomed where relevant
• Previous outpatient or ambulatory care nursing experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team
• Ability to pass background check and meet health clearance requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in patient assessment and triage in an outpatient environment
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation
• Patient education and motivational interviewing skills
• Time management, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making abilities
• Collaborative approach to interdisciplinary care
