Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily personal care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Take and accurately record vital signs and observe changes in resident condition
- Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans and report changes promptly
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the resident chart or EHR
- Follow infection control and safety procedures to protect residents and coworkers
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and the care team
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred if available)
- Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to care for older adults
- Reliable, punctual, and ready to be a dependable team player on shift
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in basic resident care and assistance with ADLs
- Comfortable taking and charting vital signs and observations
- Knowledge of infection control practices and safe patient handling
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
