Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition promptly
• Support mobility and transfers safely, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Maintain clean, safe and comfortable environments for residents
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families and the care team
• Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Active or eligible for state CNA registration in New Mexico
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Strong interpersonal skills and a caring attitude toward residents

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in assisting with ADLs including bathing, dressing and feeding
• Accurate documentation and charting skills
• Knowledge of vital sign measurement and basic patient assessment
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Teamwork, clear communication and time management in busy clinical settings
