Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor behavioral health patients, applying therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques
• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care during 12-hour night shifts and respond to crises promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care in the electronic charting system
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Maintain compliance with required credentials, immunizations, and fit testing to ensure patient and staff safety
• Complete Prime Core Competencies and skills checklists to demonstrate clinical readiness

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (Nursys verification required)
• BLS certification required prior to start
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by the specific unit (unit will determine which are necessary)
• Per diem availability with ability to work the qualifying date of 08/12/2025 to be eligible
• Ability to commit to the full 26-week per diem assignment and complete full compliance file
• Successful completion/upload of minimum compliance items by 08/10/2025 and full credentials within the required timeframe

Knowledge & Skills

• Experience in behavioral health nursing and therapeutic communication
• Crisis intervention and patient de-escalation techniques
• Medication administration and monitoring in psychiatric settings
• Familiarity with Prime Core Competencies and Prime skills checklist workflows
• Competence with health screening requirements, immunization documentation, and fit testing processes
• Strong documentation skills and ability to work independently during night shifts
