Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized outpatient treatment plans that restore function and reduce pain
- Deliver hands-on therapy and guided therapeutic exercise programs with clinical confidence
- Educate patients and families on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and self-management strategies
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans based on outcomes, and optimize recovery trajectories
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation to support high-quality care and continuity
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure coordinated, evidence-based treatment
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Michigan
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree
- Strong clinical and manual therapy skills with an evidence-based approach
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to educate patients and families clearly
- Outpatient experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply and will be supported
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of musculoskeletal evaluation and outpatient treatment techniques
- Proficiency in manual therapy and therapeutic exercise prescription
- Skilled in patient education, home exercise program design, and injury prevention
- Comfortable with clinical documentation, outcome measures, and progress tracking
- Ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with physicians
