Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality outpatient diagnosis, treatment and long-term care for patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders
• Use modern diabetes technologies such as continuous glucose monitoring and insulin pump/sensor downloads to tailor care plans
• Lead and participate in multidisciplinary care with advanced practitioners and certified diabetes educators
• Deliver patient education and group classes that empower people to manage their diabetes effectively
• Perform complication screening and coordinate prevention and treatment strategies
• Manage medications, weight management and nutritional counseling in collaboration with the care team
• Participate in the on-call rotation and provide inpatient coverage as scheduled

Qualifications

• MD or DO with completion of an Endocrinology fellowship
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology (Board Certified preferred)
• Active or eligible for a New York medical license
• Comfortable with diabetes technologies including CGM and insulin pump/sensor downloads
• Experience in outpatient diabetes care and patient education preferred; new graduates working toward BC are encouraged to apply
• Open to H-1B visa candidates; J-1 waiver candidates cannot be accepted
• Not accepting Locum tenens candidates

Education

• MD or DO degree
• Completed Endocrinology fellowship
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of endocrinology and diabetes management
• Skilled in outpatient clinical workflows and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Proficient with continuous glucose monitoring and insulin pump data interpretation
• Excellent patient education and motivational communication skills
• Familiarity with complication screening, foot care and smoking cessation strategies
• Comfortable leading individual and group education sessions
