Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for Progressive Care Unit patients, monitoring changes and intervening promptly
• Perform thorough patient assessments and maintain accurate, timely documentation
• Administer medications and treatments safely and following hospital protocols
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care plans
• Operate and interpret telemetry and cardiac monitoring to detect issues early
• Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and discharge plans
• Respond effectively to emergencies and escalate concerns when needed to ensure patient safety

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential — able to practice where required
• Minimum 1 year of PCU, progressive care, or acute care nursing experience (as listed in the job posting)
• BLS required; ACLS preferred or as required by facility
• Current basic competencies in telemetry and progressive care protocols
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a fast-paced care team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) — meet facility education requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
• Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and IV management
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Ability to prioritize, triage, and manage multiple patients safely
• Team collaboration and patient/family education skills
