Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor mechanical ventilation for critically ill patients, ensuring safe and effective respiratory support
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and interpret results to guide treatment decisions
• Deliver noninvasive ventilation support including BiPAP and use of devices like Hamilton C-1 and Avea ventilators
• Document patient care and treatments accurately in Meditec, maintaining timely and compliant records
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to develop respiratory care plans
• Provide patient and family education on respiratory therapies and equipment
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in codes and rapid response situations

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Minimum 2 years of hospital respiratory therapy experience preferred
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; NRP required or can be provided on site
• Demonstrated experience with mechanical ventilation and ABG interpretation
• Comfortable working night shifts and participating in a self-scheduling system
• Strong documentation skills with experience using Meditec or similar EMR systems

Education

• Completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanical ventilation management and troubleshooting
• Proficient in ABG sampling and interpretation
• Experience with BiPAP, Hamilton C-1, Airvo, and Avea ventilators
• Skilled in electronic documentation (Meditec)
• Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience is a plus
• Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
