Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM with 30-minute unpaid lunch

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to telemetry patients including post-surgical, respiratory, and neurological cases
Interpret cardiac telemetry strips and document findings each shift
Collaborate with remote monitor techs and the interdisciplinary team
Support patients recovering from orthopedic, spinal, and general surgeries
Float to East Campus or PCU when needed to support facility-wide care
Educate patients and families on managing conditions like diabetes, CVA, and TIA

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Experience reading basic telemetry strips
Background with general and orthopedic surgical patients preferred
Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and strip reading
Care for COVID, respiratory, GI, and diabetic patients
Post-surgical recovery support for orthopedic and spinal cases
Stroke and TIA patient management
Remote telemetry monitoring collaboration
Cerner electronic health record system
