Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to patients with CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and CKD on a busy 18-bed telemetry unit
- Interpret telemetry strips and monitor cardiac rhythms to ensure patient safety
- Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse educators to deliver excellent outcomes
- Support patients requiring CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy
- Float to other med/surg units as needed to help the broader care team
- Build meaningful connections with patients through great communication and time management
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas or compact license
- BLS certification required
- Strong telemetry strip interpretation skills
- Excellent communication and time management abilities
- Willingness to float to other med/surg units
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
- Care for patients with CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and CKD
- Managing CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen patients
- Working collaboratively with PCTs and nursing leadership
- Adapting to different med/surg environments when floating
