Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients on a 28-bed PCU/Med-Surg unit
Monitor and titrate drips such as insulin and Cardizem while providing expert hemodynamic oversight
Administer chemotherapy and supportive medications with precision and care
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and dietitians to optimize patient outcomes
Float within the same level of care to support unit needs and build versatile skills
Champion hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives that make a real difference

Qualifications

Active RN license and 1 year of PCU or oncology experience
Current ACLS, BLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
EPIC experience within the last 6 months preferred
Willingness to obtain Chemotherapy Certification if not already held
Valid driver's license to confirm 50-mile radius compliance

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills for mixed PCU and Med-Surg populations
Comfort managing ventilators and hemodynamic lines (CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, EV-1000, ICP)
Ability to titrate drips and respond confidently to changing patient conditions
Excellent communication and teamwork in a culturally diverse care environment
