Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients across medical-surgical and telemetry units
• Float throughout Zone 4 facilities, adapting quickly to new teams and patient populations
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications including heparin drips while maintaining strict safety protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patients in cardiac, neuro, oncology, rehab, renal, bariatrics, ortho, trauma, and ED observation settings
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and discharge plans
• Document thoroughly in EPIC and contribute to seamless care transitions

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Kansas or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
• Neuro experience preferred
• Alaris pump and EPIC experience preferred
• Ability to float within a 60-mile radius and adapt to varying patient acuities

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation skills
• Comfort with floating to ICU holds, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele units
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Flexibility to work weekends (6-9 shifts per 6-week schedule) and occasional holidays
• Reliable transportation and willingness to obtain local housing within the zone
