Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Float between MedSurg Telemetry and Progressive Care units providing compassionate, high-quality nursing care
Titrate and manage cardiac and critical drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Deliver excellent post-procedural and post-cardiac care for patients recovering from cath lab procedures, MI, and CABG
Collaborate with charge nurses, nurse aides, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, patient-centered outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU experience
Comfortable with drip titration and telemetry monitoring
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% or higher within two attempts

Knowledge & Skills

Strong dysrhythmia interpretation and telemetry monitoring skills
Experience with Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin drips
Ability to float across multiple units and adapt quickly to changing assignments
Excellent communication and critical-thinking abilities
