Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed Progressive Care Unit
Titrate cardiac and critical drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips while managing arterial lines and advanced respiratory support
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes and improve experience scores
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed to care for PCU-level patients and support hospital-wide needs
Serve a diverse patient population including cardiac, vascular, stroke, sepsis, dialysis, and post-procedure patients

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency managing arterial lines and titratable drips
Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
Valid driver's license for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Cardiac medication titration and drip management
Arterial line management
High-flow oxygen and respiratory equipment troubleshooting
Patient experience focus and clear communication
Flexibility to float and adapt to changing unit needs
