Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients with both medical and behavioral health needs
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to telemetry alerts
Collaborate with psychiatrists and the care team to support patients with secondary mental health diagnoses
Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR
Ensure patient safety through video monitoring and behavioral health protocols
Float to ED psych holds or MedSurg floors as needed to support hospital-wide care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of MedSurg/Tele experience in a Level 1 trauma facility with 600+ beds
Cerner EMR experience preferred
Psychiatric or behavioral health experience is a plus but not required
Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to start (two attempts allowed)
Ability to complete SIMs Lab skills assessment on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Understanding of sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line care
Comfort working with patients who have dementia, confusion, or low cognitive ability
Ability to maintain professional boundaries while delivering empathetic care
Team collaboration with charge nurses, behavioral health techs, and security
