Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, high-quality PCU/IMCU nursing care for a cardiac patient population
• Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms accurately
• Safely administer and titrate vasoactive drips including milrinone, dobutamine, and pressors
• Respond rapidly to STEMI, NSTEMI, and post-cardiothoracic surgery needs with composure
• Maintain ratio-appropriate care (1:3-4) and prioritize patient safety and outcomes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Document patient status and interventions clearly, and load required demographic info including badge-appropriate photo

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years documented PCU experience in a similarly sized facility (explicitly required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Proven experience with cardiac drips (milrinone, dobutamine, vasoactive pressors) and telemetry monitoring
• Comfort caring for STEMI, NSTEMI, cardiothoracic surgery, and chest pain patients
• Ability to function effectively in a 1:3-4 patient ratio and adapt to varying acuity
• Active RN license as required by the state (recommended to have prior licensure ready)

Education

• Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation skills
• Proficiency in administration and titration of vasoactive medications
• Familiarity with PCU/IMCU workflows and post-CTS patient care
• Excellent clinical judgment, prioritization, and communication skills
• Comfortable with fast-paced cardiac environments and emergency response protocols
