End Date: 08-03-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, Day shift, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (primary); alternative day start times: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM and 11:00 AM - 6:30 PM; On-call required

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain a sterile, safe operating room environment for adult and pediatric patients
Assist the surgical team during procedures, anticipating needs and handing instruments efficiently
Perform accurate perioperative documentation and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
Monitor patients intraoperatively and communicate changes to the team promptly
Participate in on-call coverage when scheduled and respond professionally to urgent needs
Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues to support patient-centered outcomes
Support orientation of new staff and contribute to a positive, learning-focused unit culture

Qualifications

Certifications: ACLS and BLS preferred (as noted)
Previous Operating Room experience preferred
Comfort caring for both adult and pediatric patient populations
Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and the 40-hour orientation
Current, unrestricted nursing licensure per facility/state requirements (as applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of sterile technique and perioperative safety practices
Skilled in instrument handling and intraoperative support
Ability to provide compassionate care for adult and pediatric patients
Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced surgical settings
Basic charting and documentation competency
