Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care across MedSurg and ER settings, adapting quickly to patient needs
• Titrate critical drips including insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, and levophed with confidence
• Admit, discharge, and transfer patients while maintaining seamless continuity of care
• Respond swiftly to codes for cardiorespiratory, stroke, and sepsis situations
• Start IVs, manage PICC lines and ports, and perform EKGs as part of daily practice
• Float between MedSurg and Emergency Department to support the entire facility
• Read and interpret telemetry strips independently using Mindray monitors
• Collaborate with minimal staff to deliver high-quality care in a rural critical access setting

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Minnesota or compact license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Minimum one year of ER experience strongly preferred
• Med/Surg experience is a plus
• Comfortable working independently with minimal staffing support
• Ability to float between MedSurg and Emergency Department

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with Meditech EMR documentation
• Experience with Hamilton T1 ventilator, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy
• Skilled in titrating multiple IV drips and managing critical patients
• Strong assessment and communication skills for direct hospitalist collaboration
• Ability to respond to traumas and follow EMTALA regulations
• Comfortable with flight transport coordination and critical care transfers
