Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care for adult ICU patients
• Monitor and interpret advanced hemodynamic and ventilator data to guide care
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage complex infusion therapies safely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust patient care plans
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and participate in code response
• Document care accurately and communicate clearly with patients, families, and staff
• Mentor and support unit staff and travel colleagues to maintain continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or ability to obtain NC licensure
• Minimum 2+ years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or willing to obtain prior to start)
• Critical care certifications such as CCRN are a plus
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred but not required

Education

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Experience with ventilator management and advanced respiratory support
• Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and vasoactive medication titration
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation and shift handoffs
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient/family education skills
