Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care for adult ICU patients
• Continuously assess and monitor patient status; intervene promptly when changes occur
• Administer medications, manage infusions and titrate vasoactive drips safely
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to create and update individualized care plans
• Operate and troubleshoot ICU equipment including ventilators and hemodynamic monitors
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and transitions of care
• Document care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Hawaii or eligible for licensure
• Experience working in an ICU or critical care setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
• Strong assessment skills and comfort with ventilator management and vasoactive medications
• Ability to work 12+ hour shifts and function effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

• Critical care nursing principles and best practices
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Mechanical ventilation basics and troubleshooting
• Medication administration and IV infusion management
• Electronic medical record documentation
• Infection control and isolation precautions
