Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the Neuro/Medical ICU setting
• Monitor and manage complex hemodynamics, ventilators, and advanced life support
• Perform and assist with procedures such as intubation, central line and arterial line care
• Provide EVD patient care and collaborate with core staff for specialized procedures
• Document accurately and efficiently in the Meditech EMR to ensure continuity of care
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team and patient families
• Support unit protocols, participate in shift handoffs, and help maintain a safe, efficient unit

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure (eligible to practice in Texas) — active, in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience (candidates without ICU experience will not be considered)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Experience with critical care procedures: intubation, central line and arterial/line monitoring
• Comfort with caring for Neuro/Oncology patients and EVD care
• Strong teamwork, accountability, and patient advocacy skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with Meditech EMR and accurate clinical documentation
• Proficient in ventilator management and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Skilled in airway management and assisting with intubations
• Experience with central line and arterial line placement/care
• Knowledge of EVD care and neuro-critical care principles
• Ability to manage 2:1 patient ratios in a fast-paced ICU environment
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and bedside assessment skills
