Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan
• Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize care needs in a fast-paced ED environment
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and accurately
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Perform ongoing patient monitoring and respond to changes in condition, including participation in codes and resuscitation efforts
• Maintain timely, thorough documentation in the patient record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and next steps in care
• Champion patient safety, infection control, and unit best practices

Qualifications

• Current RN license (NH licensure required or compact licensure where applicable)
• Emergency nursing experience or demonstrated competency in ED/ER settings
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
• Current immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to multitask, and excellent communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
• Completion of accredited nursing program and active RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in triage, rapid assessment, and emergency interventions
• Competent with IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency equipment
• Ability to manage multiple critical patients and prioritize effectively
• Proficient clinical documentation and handoff communication
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced ED environment
