Shift Type: Rotating 12.5-hour shifts, schedule varies (ED/ER)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and triage patients quickly and compassionately in the emergency department
Provide timely, evidence-based nursing care to stabilize acute conditions
Administer medications, start IVs, and perform critical interventions as needed
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to deliver seamless care
Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EHR
Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up plans
Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives to enhance patient care

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or compact RN license
Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred for ED roles
Prior experience in Emergency Department/ED or high-acuity nursing strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced settings and make sound clinical decisions
Strong communication and teamwork skills; dependable and patient-centered

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and emergency assessment skills
Wound care, splinting, and basic procedural support
IV insertion, medication administration, and infusion management
Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
Ability to prioritize multiple patients and tasks under pressure
