Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality dialysis care to adult patients, following facility policies and best practices
• Monitor patient vital signs and dialysis parameters, intervening promptly when changes occur
• Operate and troubleshoot dialysis equipment safely and effectively
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and update patient care plans
• Perform accurate documentation in the medical record and communicate changes to the care team
• Educate patients and families on dialysis procedures, access care, and home health considerations
• Maintain strict infection control and safety standards to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (able to work in the assignment state)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (as stated in the job posting) with dialysis experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and dialysis-specific certifications a plus
• Comfortable with dialysis machine operation, vascular access care, and patient assessment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced unit

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) — program completion required

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical knowledge of dialysis modalities and complications
• Proficiency with dialysis equipment setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Skilled in patient assessment, IV/vascular access care, and vital sign interpretation
• Accurate clinical documentation and familiarity with electronic health records
• Infection control practices and adherence to regulatory standards
• Teamwork, time management, and patient-centered communication
