Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality radiographic exams with attention to patient comfort and safety
• Operate and maintain radiography equipment, ensuring images meet clinical standards
• Collaborate with OR teams for timely call-in imaging to support surgical procedures
• Follow infection control and radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Complete required competency testing and documentation (Prime Core Competencies, Skills Checklist)
• Assist with patient positioning, proper shielding, and accurate image annotation
• Communicate clearly with patients and clinical teams to expedite care and reduce delays

Qualifications

• ARRT certification (required)
• DCI/BVP certification (required)
• Valid state radiologic technologist license and successful license/certificate verification
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings: drug screen, TB testing, immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap) and fit test
• Comfort with weekend rotations and OR call responsibilities
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient-centered care

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in diagnostic radiography and patient positioning
• Familiarity with OR protocols and sterile environment collaboration
• Knowledge of radiation safety and infection control best practices
• Ability to perform under call-in situations and prioritize urgent imaging
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and digital imaging workflows
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
