Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care that promotes comfort and enhances quality of life for residents
- Lead and mentor Resident Assistants with coaching, training, and education on proper nursing techniques
- Deliver safe, professional care following facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
- Coordinate individualized plans of care that respect each resident's dignity and unique needs
- Apply strong assessment skills and accurate medication administration to prevent negative occurrences
- Champion the Choices Philosophy of Care through respectful, person-centered nursing practice
- Maintain safety excellence by following universal precautions and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Active Alaska LPN licensure required
- Current American Heart Association BLSP (CPR) certification required
- 1 year of Long Term Care nursing experience preferred
- New graduates welcome with 8-12 month preceptorship support
- Associate's degree in nursing required
Education
- Associate's degree in nursing required

- Leadership abilities to guide and educate nursing support staff
