Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, accurate medication dispensing and verification for inpatient populations
• Support clinical care across ICU, ED, Labor & Delivery and Medical/Surgical units
• Operate independently during weekend shifts, making sound clinical decisions and managing workflow
• Use hospital systems (Meditech) and automated dispensing platforms (Omnicell preferred) to manage orders and inventory
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and care teams to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes
• Maintain required documentation, complete pharmacist skills checklist, and ensure license/cert compliance
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage and assist with continuity of care during transitions

Qualifications

• Active New Hampshire Pharmacist License required — may apply at time of offer
• Minimum 2 years current hospital experience required (2–5 years preferred; may consider 1 year if all hospital-based with Meditech experience)
• Active American Heart Association BLS (AHA) certification required
• Previous Critical Access Hospital experience highly preferred
• Meditech experience highly preferred; Omnicell familiarity is a plus
• Willingness and ability to work independently, especially on weekends
• Submission requirements: Pharmacist skills checklist (document), Supervisory signed reference from past year, license verification, permanent address included in submission, RTO included

Knowledge & Skills

• Inpatient and hospital pharmacy operations
• Medication dispensing and verification best practices
• Clinical support for ICU, ED, L&D and medical/surgical units
• Experience with Meditech electronic health records
• Familiarity with automated dispensing systems such as Omnicell
• Strong independent judgment and prioritization during weekend shifts
• Clear communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
