Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients including assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding).
Monitor and record vital signs and patient observations accurately and promptly.
Assist nursing staff with safe patient transfers and mobility support.
Maintain a clean, safe and respectful environment for patients and families.
Document care and communicate changes in patient condition to the care team clearly.
Support infection control practices and adhere to facility policies and procedures.
Build rapport with patients and families to promote a positive care experience.

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (state-approved) — required
Current basic immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
Background check and drug screening clearance
Comfortable with patient handling and basic mobility assistance
Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-first attitude
Previous experience in long-term care or acute care preferred but new grads welcomed

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in ADLs support and safe patient handling
Able to take and document vital signs accurately
Familiarity with basic charting and documentation practices
Knowledge of infection prevention and safety protocols
Team player with good time-management and observation skills
Ability to follow care plans and report changes promptly
