Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate bedside care and assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
Monitor and document resident conditions and report any changes to the nursing team
Support safe mobility and transfers using appropriate body mechanics and equipment
Maintain a clean, comfortable environment and follow infection control practices
Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through clear, respectful communication
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to deliver consistent, high-quality care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification valid for Connecticut
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Demonstrated compassionate patient care and strong communication skills
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings (immunizations, TB test as applicable)
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team in a long-term care setting

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an accredited CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and basic nursing tasks
Familiarity with resident charting and documentation best practices
Strong observational skills to notice changes in resident condition
Good communication and interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
Teamwork mindset and ability to follow care plans and supervisor direction
