Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate bedside care to acute-care patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Perform accurate vital signs and basic assessments as assigned
• Support safe patient transfers, positioning, and mobility needs
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and follow infection-control protocols
• Document care and observations clearly and timely in patient records
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality care
• Respond calmly and effectively during urgent situations to support patient safety

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state requirements apply)
• Prior experience in acute care preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Foundational knowledge of patient care techniques and infection control
• Comfort with vital signs, ADLs, and basic patient assessments
• Ability to follow care plans and report clinical changes accurately
• Good interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and multidisciplinary teams
• Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
