Location: Bowie, MD

Shift Type: Days not specified, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (day shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and respect
Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to the nursing team promptly
Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to residents and families
Document care accurately and thoroughly in resident records
Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all residents
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver resident-focused care

Qualifications

Current GNA certification or state-equivalent nursing assistant credential (Maryland preferred)
CPR/BLS certification required or willing to obtain
Background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
Comfortable working with geriatric populations, including dementia care
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED
Completion of an accredited GNA/CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and resident care principles
Skilled in safe patient handling and infection prevention practices
Ability to observe, record, and communicate resident changes clearly
Compassionate interpersonal skills and patience with older adults
Basic charting and documentation skills
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
