Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures according to department protocols and regulatory standards
• Operate PACS and manage image processing and transmission with accuracy and timeliness
• Serve as a first-line interface with patients and clinical teams, delivering compassionate imaging care
• Participate in performance improvement and quality control activities to support high standards
• Adhere to HFAP/TJC/CMS/State and Federal regulations and maintain compliance documentation
• Support procedural needs such as venipuncture after required certification and assist with fluoroscopic studies when permitted

Qualifications

• Current CRT issued by CDPH (required)
• ARRT-R credential (required)
• Current BCLS/BLS (AHA) certification
• Must obtain CDPH fluoroscopy permit within 6 months of hire
• Must obtain venipuncture certificate within 3 months of hire
• Graduate of a JRCERT or ABHES accredited radiography program
• At least 1 year of radiology technologist experience preferred
• Proficient computer skills and experience with PACS
• Ability to meet health and screening requirements (drug screen, TB testing, immunizations, fit test)

Education

• Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT or ABHES

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of diagnostic radiography techniques and protocols
• Proficiency with PACS and medical image processing and transmission
• Understanding of regulatory compliance (HFAP, TJC, CMS, State and Federal)
• Competence in infection control, patient positioning, and radiation safety
• Good communication skills for interacting with patients and multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with PI/QC processes and quality imaging practices
• Certifications such as DCI/BVP a plus
