Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting daily living activities
- Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility and feeding with respect and dignity
- Take and report vital signs and observe changes in resident condition
- Document care accurately and communicate updates to nursing staff and families
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
- Collaborate with the care team to enhance resident comfort and quality of life
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — T-CNA accepted
- Must be local to the Orono area (LOCAL ONLY)
- Comfortable working the posted day shift hours (6:30 AM - 2:45 PM)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; reliability and compassion are essential
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing care and activities of daily living
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Good documentation and time-management skills
- Comfortable with safe resident handling and mobility assistance
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
