Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting while promoting independence
- Take and record vital signs accurately and escalate concerns to nursing staff promptly
- Support safe resident transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Document care activities clearly and timely in the resident record
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care and improve outcomes
- Create a warm, friendly environment that helps residents feel comfortable and supported
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire
- Ability to work the evening shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM) reliably
- Pass a background check and any facility-required screenings
- Comfortable performing physical tasks associated with direct resident care
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Local candidates only (per assignment notes)
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Active CNA certification (state-certified)
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
- Accurate vital sign measurement and documentation
- Infection control and safe hand hygiene practices
- Basic charting and electronic documentation familiarity
- Effective communication with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs during a shift
