Geriatric Nursing Assistant
Location: Brooklyn Park, MD
Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Day shift (specific days to be confirmed with schedule/manager)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
- Support meal times, feeding assistance, and ensure dietary needs are respected
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
- Follow infection control protocols and facility procedures to keep residents safe
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a welcoming, home-like environment
Qualifications
- GNA certification (required) and active, unencumbered credential
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Previous experience working with older adults or in long-term care is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused approach
- Able to pass required background checks and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved GNA training program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with geriatric care principles and dignity-centered approaches
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, safe transfers, and mobility assistance
- Good documentation practices and attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with families
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
