Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in the assigned unit
• Assess, monitor and document patient condition and respond promptly to changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Maintain clear, timely charting in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications and discharge instructions
• Adhere to infection control protocols and facility policies to keep patients safe

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license (able to practice in the assignment state)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — bring the essentials
• Clinical experience caring for adult patients (exact years not specified by the order)
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced acute care environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred when available

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough patient assessment and clinical observation skills
• Medication administration and documentation accuracy
• Comfortable with electronic health record charting
• Basic IV and dressing care familiarity
• Prioritization, time management, and multitasking under pressure
• Collaborative teamwork and patient/family education skills
