Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care within departmental policies
- Assist respiratory therapists by setting up, operating, and maintaining respiratory equipment
- Perform routine equipment checks, changes, and basic maintenance to ensure safe operation
- Manage and track inventory to keep supplies ready and accessible
- Support clinical teams during respiratory treatments and patient interventions
- Document patient care and equipment status clearly and promptly
- Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain skills and safety compliance
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
- RRT or CRT credentials acceptable/recognized — experience with respiratory support is a plus
- Successful license/certificate verification as part of onboarding
- Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings (COVID-19 vaccine, TB testing, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, influenza) as listed in the job requirements
- Ability to complete fit testing and drug screening as required
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
Education
- CNA certification (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and basic clinical assessment
- Familiarity with respiratory therapy equipment setup and safe operation
- Basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Inventory management and supply organization
- Infection control practices and adherence to health screenings
- Professional documentation and clear communication with multidisciplinary teams
