Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care within departmental policies
• Assist respiratory therapists by setting up, operating, and maintaining respiratory equipment
• Perform routine equipment checks, changes, and basic maintenance to ensure safe operation
• Manage and track inventory to keep supplies ready and accessible
• Support clinical teams during respiratory treatments and patient interventions
• Document patient care and equipment status clearly and promptly
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain skills and safety compliance

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (required)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
• RRT or CRT credentials acceptable/recognized — experience with respiratory support is a plus
• Successful license/certificate verification as part of onboarding
• Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings (COVID-19 vaccine, TB testing, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, influenza) as listed in the job requirements
• Ability to complete fit testing and drug screening as required
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude

Education

• CNA certification (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and basic clinical assessment
• Familiarity with respiratory therapy equipment setup and safe operation
• Basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Inventory management and supply organization
• Infection control practices and adherence to health screenings
• Professional documentation and clear communication with multidisciplinary teams
