Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (day/night), per diem coverage including weekends. Typical windows commonly used for 12-hour rotations: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; exact start/end times vary by assignment

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess respiratory status and deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to patients across acuity levels
- Manage and troubleshoot mechanical ventilation and non-invasive support with confidence
- Administer respiratory therapies and medications according to protocols
- Perform arterial blood gas sampling and interpret results to guide care
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient-focused care plans
- Document assessments, treatments and patient responses clearly and timely in the medical record
- Maintain and perform safety checks on respiratory equipment and supplies
- Complete required competency exams and specialty skills checklists to maintain clinical excellence
Qualifications
- Active Respiratory Therapist license or certification (state licensure required)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- DCI/BVP credentialing as required by facility
- Experience on 12-hour shifts and comfort working rotating day/night schedules
- Ability to pass License/Certificate Verification and required credentialing checks
- Up-to-date immunizations and screenings: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, TB testing/clearance, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, and a minimum 10-panel drug screen
- Successful completion of facility competency testing (Prime Core Competencies, Prime Skills Checklist, Prime Specialty Exam)
Education
- Associate degree or diploma in Respiratory Therapy or completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong ventilator management and troubleshooting skills
- Proficient with respiratory assessment, airway management, and oxygen therapy
- Ability to interpret ABGs and titrate respiratory support
- Familiarity with infection control practices and equipment sterilization
- Clear clinical documentation and communication with interdisciplinary teams
- Adaptability in fast-paced, rotating-shift environments
