Shift Type: Night, 4x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, typically 4 nights per week (schedule varies), every other weekend required
Hours per Week: 48
Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert, compassionate care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients using evidence-based practices
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and recognize changes early to guide timely interventions
- Document thoroughly and efficiently in Epic to keep the care team aligned
- Administer medications and treatments safely, following ACLS and BLS protocols when needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update patient care plans
- Float between like units within scope to meet patient care needs and maintain continuity
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license required (pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry preferred, first-time travel nurses are welcome
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Comfortable and proficient with Epic charting
- Ability to float between similar units per facility needs
- Willingness to work night shifts and every other weekend
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills
- Solid medical-surgical nursing assessment and clinical decision making
- Proficient Epic documentation and electronic charting
- Excellent communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
- Ability to manage patient ratios typically around 1:5-6
- Critical thinking during emergency and rapid response situations
- Comfort with teaching and patient education at the bedside
