Shift Type: 3x12-hour nights per week, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Night shift), every other weekend required
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care on a Med-Surg/Telemetry unit during night shifts
- Monitor telemetry and respond to cardiac changes promptly and confidently
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a Level III trauma teaching hospital to coordinate care
- Perform thorough assessments, document in Epic, and communicate changes clearly during handoffs
- Float between like units as needed to meet facility needs while maintaining safe patient ratios
- Support patients and families with compassion, education, and clear communication
Qualifications
- Active RN license (pending licenses are not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years experience in Med-Surg/Telemetry (MS/Tele) required
- BLS and ACLS required; NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- First-time travel nurses accepted — we welcome new travelers
- Willingness to float within scope to like units and meet facility needs
- Available to work nights and every-other-weekend schedule
- Not available to clinicians living within a 50-mile radius of Cape Fear Valley Medical Center (locals not accepted)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong telemetry monitoring skills and ability to interpret rhythms
- Med-Surg clinical competence including medication administration and acute patient assessment
- Proficient charting experience with Epic
- Comfort working in a fast-paced Level III trauma/teaching hospital environment
- Ability to work autonomously on night shift and escalate as appropriate
- Team-oriented communication and reliable handoff practices
